#the fact that he also basically says this outright in the show too. and yet. fascinating

I feel like some PJO fans are just really dense or they clearly didn't read the books
I literally saw a post comparing Annabeth to Gabe because she "abuses" Percy (fastest block in my life).
Like, WTF are we doing at this point? Is the misogyny so ingrained in this fandom that we cannot be helped?
First things first, the judo flip is clearly written to be read as romantic down to Percy smiling up at her and flirting when it happens. They're also literal soldiers who have grown up training together. Ya'll cannot on one hand gush about Percy being uber powerful and then on the other hand act like Annabeth could have killed him from a judo flip, something she's trained to do and would be able to easily do without causing any pain to the person she did it to. Using the judo flip to paint Annabeth as abusive when that clearly was not the intent is so ridiculously moronic. You can argue that you don't like the judo flip. That is 100% understandable. But saying it's abusive and calling Annabeth abusive over it when it's so vicerally clear in the narrative that Rick meant it be read romantic is downright stupid. You can have problems with the fact that Rick meant that to be read as romantic, but again it does not change the intent. And he was clearly not writing Annabeth as abusive in the scene (the character is literally based on his wife and mother of his children for crying out loud).
And when else has Annabeth "abused" Percy? Playful taps between friends does not equal abuse and it's downright insulting to call it that. I'm so tired of people using the dancing scene in TTC as an example of Annabeth "hitting" Percy. Are ya'll ok in the head? Her budging him to get his attention to dance or her tapping his foot under the table to get him to stop talking is not abuse, it's not even abuse in even the most basic interpretations of that word. Ya'll are insane and scraping the barrel. This is getting so STUPID. Seriously, show me examples of Annabeth abusing Percy. This line of hate used against Annabeth is downright pathetic and really offensive to people who have been in abusive relationships.
Name calling? Do people even realize that Percy called Annabeth "Wise Girl" first and 100% meant it as an insult as he was implying she was stupid at the time? Wise Girl was only meant in an affectionate way later. When Percy first started calling her it he was using it as an insult to imply she was actually not smart. You know who he got the name from? Clarisse, the camp bully. Yet some folks call Annabeth abusive for calling Percy Seaweed Brain and casullly ignore that Percy was an active participant in the name calling? Why is it ok for Percy to name call but it's not ok for Annabeth to return the favor. Not to mention that Seaweed Brain and Wise Girl became terms of affection by at least the end of Lightening Thief. Past Lightening Thief neither of them use those names as outright insults from my recollection.
Ya'll want complicated female characters but can't even handle Annabeth Chase not being a Mary Sue and actually being a female character with flaws.....UNDERSTANDABLE FLAWS.
One thing I've noticed about a lot of PJO fans is that most of them have never actually read the books, and it shows. Either that or some of ya'll are getting way too comfortable with the misogyny that contributes to most of the hate for Annabeth. That and the racism which has picked up with the casting for the show. Because there's no way the uptick in Annabeth hate that started around the time the casting was announced is a coincidence.

The Kit and Ty fight is actually fucking insane really.
Because neither one owes the other one anything but feels as though they owe eachother everything.
Ty does not owe Kit an apology for going through with the ritual. The world he may owe an apology to but Kit? Kit knew full well what they were doing he just couldn't face the reality until it was too late. He couldn't face his fear of losing Ty until he realised there was more than one way to lose someone and if Ty did this then he would lose him anyway.
Kit is not owed an apology. But yet he is.
Ty is not responsible for the fact that Kit didn't express his concerns or back out sooner.
Ty does not owe Kit an apology for Kit deciding to help him.
Ty does not even owe Kit an apology for not responding to his declaration. It was too much to process for both of them. The sad thing is Ty did not owe Kit love back. Just because Kit tells him he loves him does not mean that Ty has to say it back. It is the socially acceptable thing but Ty is not responsible for the trauma Kit has around love and the expressing of it.
And yet he did hurt Kit when he did that. A hurt so deep it left scars on Kits bones. It's obvious that Johnny was not a big expresser of love and he was Kit's main human contact for a long time. Kit aches for love, like a kind of constant ache in your chest of need. So when Ty didn't respond the damage that did despite not being intentional was devastating.
The other thing Kit told Ty what he wanted then and there. "I will help you but not if you do this Ty". Kit made it clear that if Ty followed through with the ritual he would lose Kit that Kit would not help him anymore even if he did love him. Whether Ty didn't understand what Kit meant or choose to ignore it he can't be surprised that Kit left. He did exactly what he told Ty he would do.
Kit needs to forgive Ty for asking him to help him, he needs to forgive himself for agreeing to help him. Kit needs to accept that he should have intervened sooner, that his declaration was poorly timed for Ty who was already at the maximum amount of input he could bear.
But Ty needs to accept that he hurt Kit by not saying anything at all. He needs to find a way to see and ease that hurt or Kit will always be fearful.
Ty is not owed an apology either. But also he is.
Kit broke his trust. He feels lied to even if Kit never outright lied. Kit told him he loved him but he hardly has time to process that, when Ty is clearly a process and digest it and split it apart before he reacts kind of boy. He is not okay right now, grieving while in denial about that grief. His main sources of comfort and steadiness gone (Livvy and Julian) and now all he has to rely on is this plan and Kit. But now he can't rely on Kit to help him and he feels untethered again. The only thing he can do is try to stay to the plan, show Kit it's going to be okay, bring Livvy back and the world will be steady again, he can breath again. But it doesn't work. And now he doesn't know what he feels it's a new feeling of pain he can't handle and Kit is still in shock behind him frozen in place.
What Ty did was illegal and dangerous. He put himself and Kit, his family and honestly the world in horrendous danger. He did this having just witnessed the harm such actions can cause and after having been warned against it.
However arguably the worst thing is doing what he did to Livvy herself. He has taken away all agency and her basic rights because he loved her too much to imagine living in a world without her. He didn't see what Kit did, that having Livvy like that was not better than losing her in fact it might be worse.
Kit can see the wrongness of what they did to his friend. Can you imagine living with feeling you had committed a crime against nature and had done so to someone you loved? I think a large part of what Kit feels is guilt for what he had a part in doing to Livvy.
Both Kit and Ty were in positions of immense vulnerability. To outside forces but also to each other. Ty was the only person Kit had left in the world. Ty had so much pain and grief he couldn't be expected to process Kit's reliance on him. To understand the almost pressure Kit was feeling to follow along with him. Kit should have recognised that Ty wasn't okay but also Kit is not responsible for Ty and was grieving himself.
Then there is the aftermath. The secrets they must now both keep. The size of this secret to keep for someone you no longer wish to speak to is quite intense. The fight on the battlefield is the last they speak and it's not speaking it's screaming.
"I wish I'd never met you" and it's not a lie. I think Kit has never really lied to to Ty. He said that because he meant it, he wished he had never met Ty because if he hadn't he wouldn't be in this pain he is in now. He would never have to face what Ty did, what Kit helped him do. Not knowing Ty would have been better to this feeling of guilt and pain and grief and love.
The interesting thing is that at this point Kit is already done. He wants no more to do with Ty but Ty is still in it. The last thing Ty heard from Kit was his love and his declaration of never wanting to be apart from him. Ty thinks this can be fixed, it's what he has seen his whole life! People who love each other fight but they don't stop loving each other they stay around, Ty has only ever seen pretty positive associations with love and arguments. Love always conquered anger. But for Kit it's over already. Anger is stronger, guilt is stronger.
"I wish I'd never met you" oh god the agony, your first friend, the boy who choose to stay because you asked him to, who let you give him his first mark, who held you while you cried, who makes you blush when he smiles at you, your Watson saying "I wish I'd never met you". The confusion?? the pain??
Yet they protect each other moments after this, Kit with his magic and Ty with his slingshot, yet they still think of each other and ask after each other.
In Kit's mind Ty put and end to them when he cast that spell.
In Ty's mind Kit put an end to them when he left.
How do you even begin to pull apart who owes who what when you owe each other everything?

More for the au!
The basics, Gods, Demigods, Devil Fruits, all exist.
World Gov + Marines try and keep the whole concept of gods and demigods under wraps. Because I'm working with "D's" carry divinity. And having a good chunk of them outright despise the government isn't a great look.
Luffy is a god while Garp and Dragon are demigods. Luffy can shift between physical and 'divine' form whereas demigods don't have that ability.
Luffy is the successor/inheritor of his predecessor's will and own divinity. But not through reincarnation necessarily. One in the same but they are very much so different. His devil fruit and promise to Shanks cemented his place as the successor to the sun and freedom. When gods and demigods start out, there isn't a wholly set future for what will they will have, or the ideals they will embody. Luffy has always had his cloudy/intangible form.
Imagine Garp's surprise when his grandson, who was supposed to join him in the marines, is set to embody freedom and the sun. He was pissed for a solid week about that. Garp also had to deal with questioning where Dragon had even gotten Luffy from, he still doesn't know.
Ace and Sabo were very adamant that Luffy not show off his divine form to everyone, especially if he wanted to become a pirate. He can't be a pirate if the government tracks him down and hides him away at the ripe age of like, 8. Also because having a full god is pretty uncommon, Sabo has heard horror story after horror story of what nobles and those in higher society would do to a god. Sabo is the most vocal about Luffy being careful about that.
Luffy meets Koby, and does an absolutely terrible job at keeping his form hidden. It's harder to control which form he's in when he's excited. Koby was a human with no divinity and big dreams that Luffy adored. So, already excited with a new friend, and the two on their way to Shells town, Luffy sneezed and immediately sold himself out. Koby is a terrible liar and so just elects to never speak on this topic ever. If anyone asks why he has so much knowledge on gods, specifically sun gods, he just doesn't answer. Helmeppo thinks it's funny and immediately pieced together why, because Koby cannot keep anything from him. And Garp has to respect how hard that kid is trying to not completely sell out his grandson, even if the brat kind of deserves it for being a pirate.
Luffy is going to be the Pirate King, divine or not. His crew quickly find out about his side quirk/form in varying ways. Zoro woke up one day with a cloudy demon from hell cutting off his airways. Nami was trying to explain clouds to Luffy and that 'no, they cannot just spawn on your person, that's stupid,' and so Luffy shows her that he is in fact, correct.
Usopp got jumpscared early in the morning, before the sun had risen, when Luffy just appeared behind him and asked if he wanted to watch the sunrise. Sanji was cooking dinner and Luffy got so excited he phased out of his physical body.
Chopper found out while asking Luffy if he had any medical conditions he should know about, he thought it was kinda cool that Luffy can change forms. And is only a little jealous that Luffy has a fully human form. Luffy always makes sure to tell Chopper he's exactly who he needs to be.
Robin found out after talking about 'Nika,' who is thought to be long dead, but is not. And is the captain of the crew she is now apart of. Luffy knows the name is important and it has a certain weight when it's said. He physically feels when someone says his name around him. Robin thinks this is very fascinating. (Also can add some context into poneglyphs, that there is a lot to it, even if Robin doesn't yet know and Luffy wasn't alive/doesn't have that knowledge)
Franky was showing off cool shit he could do with his robotic body, and Luffy was like 'me too!!!'
Brook found out when Luffy fell asleep listening to him play a song, and Luffy slipped back into his resting form of cloudiness.
While both forms have their uses and limitations, Luffy is most comfortable in his intangible form, even if his physical one is the default. He cannot access his divine form after a certain point of exhaustion hits.
Im going to end that there before I have an entire novel in this. But that's the general thought throw up I'm smacking down right now.
Sorry if this is incoherent and not easy to understand lol. I will flesh it out more later and when I have actually thought more about it. Might change things later too. Then I'll probably make a good post about it with actual wellish made context and lore.

hi hi hi! this is @syslut :3 i just recently followed your lovely blog and i’ve always loved how passionately you talk about our dear loverboi.
on to the point: do you have any theories sylus’s upcoming main story branch?! 👀👀👀 saw your tags here :3
i am so excited and lowkey anxious; i smell angst 😭
Aaaa thank you so much for your kind words ❤️ It means so much to me that you guys enjoy my yapping 💞 (love the @/syslut username btw!)
Ok so re: the main story and angst, these lines from Sylus' birthday event have been stuck on my mind for days and made me more and more anxious the longer I mull them over
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(And there's also these lines from Greedy Heart)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've consumed works of fiction since I was a wee thing and in my experience lines like these never herald sunshine or rainbows. On the contrary they often foreshadow that one or both characters are pretty much cooked... same as when a character in a show says that today is their last day before retirement. You know the dude will be dead by the end of the episode ;-; I get a similar feeling of dread here.
That is not to say that I believe that Sylus or MC will (perma) die or anything, especially not in the upcoming branch. The game is still very fresh with lots more content to come, not to mention that you can't really kill off main characters in an otome gacha (thank god). However, I do believe that the angst we will get will still be extremely painful. Paperfold are masters at the art of twisting the knife and giving us all PTSD.
My prediction is that something bad will happen to MC — she'll be abducted, injured, maybe even temporarily killed, or all three — and we will get to witness Sylus be properly enraged and afraid. We haven't seen him in either state yet, since very few things truly get under his skin. Most of the time he is nonchalant or even bored in the face of threats. He projects nigh invincibility to his opponents and even to MC. He has no discernible weaknesses... or at least, as far as his enemies are aware (for now).
But we know better. The only times we've ever seen Sylus approaching a state of anger or fear have involved MC. He gets upset at himself in battle mode if MCs health is low by the end of it, and he also yells out in alarm for her to "look out!" if he sees her about to get hit by Wanderers. And recently in his birthday card he was visibly worried for her when she fell. The writers have made the fact that MC is Sylus' weakness clear even before Sylus himself stated it outright. And now that he has, I am 99.9% certain that it will be utilized in the plot at some point. Like I've said before, the LADS writers seldom include stuff like this without some sort of intent. It's not just meant to be wholesome fluff imo. Maybe it will even lead to Sylus actually being (temporarily) defeated in order to save MC?
However, whether this will happen in the upcoming branch I am less certain about. It might be too premature for that. But I'm not ruling it out completely.
What is basically 100% certain though is that something angsty will happen, and that we will be in pain. My reasons for believing this are
The main branches for the OG3 were all angsty.
We have been fed a suspicious amount of fluff and sunshine lately. Which will make the angst hit even harder. Which, knowing Paperfold, is exactly the plan. They're lulling us into a false sense of security.
Angst or an intense situation of some sort would be a great vehicle for character development for both Sylus and MC, as well as for furher deepening their relationship.
The main story and branches have involved lore. And you know what LADS lore means right? Exactly. Emotional suffering. For both the characters and us.
It's a bit tricky to guess what said angst or lore will be though since for one we don't know at which point in time the branch will take place. Will MC still have the same opinions and feelings re: Sylus as when she left him in the main story? Or will enough time have passed that they are more intimate? Weren't the latter the case with the OG3? Or am I misremembering?
Furthermore, in the case of the OG3 their branches were based off the third anecdotes. And seeing as Sylus still doesn't have that... well, his will clearly have to be based off of something else. Unless they decide to drop the anecdotes at the same time? Please God let that be the case! We are so lore starved over here... not to mention free companion starved... 😓
My best guess right now is that the Beyond Cloudfall myth will come into play somehow. Maybe MC will regain some memories, or maybe Sylus will finally reveal his dragon form?
As for theories outside angst, I think it's pretty safe to say that we will learn more about EVER and the Eye of Aether, or at least aether cores in general. Most of all I want answers regarding what is up with Sylus' right eye. Who put the aether core there and when? His eye has clearly been special for a long time, as far back as in Beyond Cloudfall. I'm doubting we'll be getting a definitive answer for that here though. LADS likes drip-feeding its info and lore after all.
Anyway, that's really as far as I feel comfortable going with my theories and speculations rn. I apologize for the extremely long and rambling answer dhdjdfj I always get super carried away with topics like these 😅 if you guys have any theories, then please don't hesitate to add on to this ♡

WHEN THE BROTHERS MEET MC’S EX
It’s a fact that you’ve had a previous relationship before you went to Devildom, but due to the nature of the circumstances it didn’t end so well. You never told any of the brothers what really happened until now, so how will they react with this newfound information? Especially when they end up bumping into your ex?
The ex became crazier than I ORIGINALLY intended when I wrote for some of the brothers to make the scenarios unique from each other… that also means some of the break ups and behaviors of the ex are different for each brother… forgive me “T-T !!!
Has some implied abuse but not outright said. Also some mentions of cheating (but not for the brothers dear god). Pls skip if it's not your cup of tea!! As always, thank you for reading.
------------
Lucifer
He knows about the fact you had a previous lover before, but it was not in his nature to pry. Hearing Asmo wonder out loud “aren’t you a little curious what happened in their previous relationship though?” Lucifer doesn’t want to admit that he does want to know. But it’s your story to tell after all.
Lucifer is confident in his looks and how he presents himself. He’s well-mannered, he’s intelligent, and he’s the Avatar of Pride so what could you have seen in anyone other than– okay, maybe Lucifer may be too curious for his own good. But his Pride would not allow him to be vocal about it.
There was a time that you came home from RAD seemingly upset and shaken up. He helps you relax enough until you are calm enough to at least tell him what was wrong. You tell him that your ex has been bothering you lately, trying to get your attention for god knows what reason.
This opens up the conversation Lucifer was waiting for, but it’s not exactly what he was expecting. You told him how you had to break the relationship because your ex became too manipulative and nitpicked every single thing that you did. It became too toxic.
Hearing this made Lucifer think back to all his actions towards his brothers and to you, where he demands everything to the last detail. He never wanted you to feel suffocated around him, he didn’t want to seem too controlling.
The last thing Lucifer wants for himself to remind you of your ex. He wants to practice healthy communications with you, where you can give him a sign if he’s getting too much or something is starting to trigger you. Your comfort is more important right now, and he’d hate to be the cause of your tears.
He’s tempted to go through your profile case to find the name of your ex and hunt him down personally. Maybe chain him up in the dungeons for days to be Lucifer’s new stress relief outlet until they beg for mercy. But he won’t because it’s your personal life and he doesn’t want to interfere.
When you two bump into your ex while you were out together, his eyes narrowed at the sight of this pathetic human that made his precious MC’s life awful. ‘I want to show them what living hell really feels like… I want to break them in all aspects possible…’ Is a thought running rampant in his mind.
He brings you close to him, an arm holding your waist as he turns to your ex “No matter the reason, it will not excuse interrupting our leisure time. Your previous transgressions already warrant a punishment. Now run home, while you still can.” He says, a voice so commanding yet foreboding. The dark aura looming around the skies is already a death threat in itself. Your ex is leaving without another word.
The skies cleared and Lucifer turned to you with a soft look, before pressing a kiss on your forehead. He checks if you felt shaken up from the experience and if you were, he’ll hold you close as you both go home while he whispers soothing words by your ear.
He’ll treat you like royalty, basically in second place after Asmo when it comes to pampering you. Lucifer wants to do everything to make you forget that scary experience and if you let him, he’ll personally handle all affairs regarding your ex.
“MC… please believe me when I say that you’re precious. You should never have to go through something like that again, I’ll make sure you’re always safe and happy everyday” He says, placing a kiss on your hand and cheek before pulling you in for an embrace.
After that incident, he makes sure your ex has no way of contacting you ever again for whatever reason. If only he could, he would’ve locked the bastard in the castle dungeons and performed any punishment he saw fit. He’ll eliminate anything and anyone that causes you pain or distress.
Your ex better watch their back soon. Because it’s always as if the shadows are moving despite nothing being there. There’s always an extra pair of footsteps that can be heard even though they’re alone when walking home. Red eyes glaring at them from the distance before disappearing in a blink. The paranoia that something is watching them would drive them crazy, but the real miracle is if they’d ever make it home without a scratch.
Mammon
Mammon didn’t take it well when he learned that there was someone else before him that won your heart. He’s supposed to be your first in everything after all! So he may have been a little bit pouty but it didn’t take much to cheer him up again. Just a little bit of affection got him back on his feet.
He was curious to know who this someone must’ve been to win your affections before the Great Mammon himself, because it was only fair to assume there must’ve been something special about this person right?
He was quite insistent on it but he respects it when you want to keep it to yourself. Mammon was quite tempted to go through Lucifer’s office to perhaps look at your file, but he doesn’t want to upset you if you found out his attempts to learn more about your personal life behind your back.
One day he finds you looking pretty upset and as much as you try to hide it, Mammon knows you the best out of all the brothers so he’s not letting you off the hook until you tell him what’s wrong. He needs to know so he can think of how to cheer you up.
You eventually give in and tell him that your ex has been bothering you lately. You told Mammon about how your ex practically ran off with some of your things, ditching you in the dust. Now they’re back but you don’t want anything to do with them, because you’re sure they’re just going to take from you again if you give them a chance to hear them out.
Mammon’s thoughts went a thousand miles per second as you told your story. First, he can’t believe for a second that he envied this asshole! Second, he started to feel the worry that his poor behavior might make you remember your ex.
He holds you close and tries his best to reassure you that he won’t let your ex even get away with a single dime from you. “If they try to even look at ya I’m gonna have to start chargin’ a fee! They can’t touch the valuables yknow?” And that was enough to cheer you up, even a little.
Mammon is practically glued to you everywhere you go just to make sure you’re doing okay. If you thought he was overprotective before, prepare to be proven wrong. On times that Mammon isn’t with you, there’s always a crow circling around the area around you instead.
Mammon is extra vigilant of your things after he learned what happened. No one is ever stealing from you again because your treasure is his treasure now. At some point he tried to pick a fight with a classmate that just wanted to borrow your eraser… his heart is in the right place though!
When you two bump into your ex, Mammon gets the first word in the conversation. “Listen here ya piece of shit, if you ever think of bothering my MC again you better start sleeping with one eye open. There’s gonna be a bounty on your head when I'm through with you.” You practically had to hold him back from hitting your ex personally and causing a scene.
When your ex tries to butt in and talk to you, Mammon blocks you from their view “Lost your chance buddy, now go and scram unless you wanna gamble how many teeth will be left of ya once we’re done.” If anyone knows one thing, it’s to not accept a bet made by Mammon himself. There’s not a gamble he made that he didn’t win.
As soon as they left, Mammon grabs your hand and leads you away as if you both are on the run. “Come on! Before that loser changes their mind, let’s high tail outta here!” He says with a flashy grin.
Mammon spends the day trying to make you smile again. “Don’t worry about spending a dime, i snagged us some spare change” He says, holding up the wallet he stole from your ex during that confrontation. In his defense, if your ex stole from you then he might as well get even, right?
He’s definitely not through with your ex now that he’s seen their face. With enough determination and patience from the fourth born, Mammon learned a specific curse for your ex. Now every time they’d need money for something, their wallet would always run short on cash. There’s never going to be enough money, but for some reason they always want more. Well, that’s the Avatar of Greed for you.
Where does the money go? To Mammon’s pocket of course! Satan was wary of encouraging this bad habit of his brother by letting him have more money but after learning who this victim is? Say no more. That’ll show em to never steal from his human ever again.
Levi
It didn’t sit well with Levi that you used to date someone else before. The idea that you gave your heart away to another person before Levi fills him with this twang of jealousy. Though he’s the Avatar of Envy so that’s to be expected.
He doesn’t want to admit that in front of you though, so sometimes he starts talking to his goldfish to cope with it. Levi gets nervous and wonders what could have possibly happened in your previous relationship that made you end it. He’s scared that maybe he’s worse off than your ex or does the same thing. What if he’s already deep waters without realizing?!
It takes a while for him to build up the courage to ask you about it without his envy or anxiety getting in the way of making himself upset and backing out. He wants to know more about you after all, and that includes this.
You talk about our old ex and how they were terrible to you. You found out that your ex cheated on you and it really did a number on your self-esteem, but you were better at masking that than Levi.
Levi felt awful for making you remember these memories, but at the same time he’s also pissed. How could anyone decide that you weren’t enough to the point they’d replace you? The idea of it is repulsive. He doesn’t even feel like he deserves you himself! Yet your ex had the chance to cherish someone as amazing as you and threw it all away.
He’d wrap his arms and legs around you, feeling himself about to cry just thinking about how painful that must’ve been. “I-i don’t even know what to say but… I’d never hurt you like that. I’m sorry MC…”
His empathy for you is enough to cheer you up and Levi spends the rest of the night trying to make you forget about your ex by letting you pick the games or shows to watch in his room. Though a part of him wants to go through the web and look for the bastard.
Levi may be an anxious sweetheart, but he’s not the kind that would let someone who made you feel so low just run carefree. He’s a demon too, you know? so hacking into your ex’s online accounts and sabotaging them is not something out of his book. He could freeze their assets if he tried hard enough.
When you two end up running into them, Levi could hardly contain himself. Usually he would be the one cowering behind you whenever there are strangers he’s never met, but this time he put himself in between you two.
“Even though I'm just an otaku, at least I could tell when something is rare and valuable. I bet a normie like you can’t understand that, seeing how you let go of someone as precious as MC.” Levi hissed, fangs threatening to bare at this scum until your ex finally decides to back off.
Levi keeps his eyes narrowed at your ex until they disappear from sight. His glare is enough to convey that if the ex ever tries to turn around and take a step forward, Levi will have to do something about it. Once he’s sure that the ex is shaky out of sight, he finally lets out the breath he never knew he was holding in his lungs before he checks up on you.
“I-i know that I'm not the best at a lot of things. Not looks… or sports… o-or studies. But I want to be someone who’s worthy of you!” Levi says, determination in his tone despite the constant stuttering.
To an otaku, you’re one of the rarest collectibles Levi has ever had the luxury of having, and he wants to prove that to the world! He won’t allow anyone to see you any less than that. One day he’ll make an entire powerpoint and show it off to the entire House of Lamentation titled ‘100 Reasons Why MC is the Best’
Your ex should be careful in entering any sort of body of water, especially the ocean. Who knows? Lotan might be looking for the perfect bite-sized meal soon.
Satan
Satan learned your tells whenever you seem to flinch around people raising their voices. It happens a lot in a house full of rowdy brothers, but he sensed it more whenever there’s a serious fight and you’re around. So he tries to get you out of the mess as quickly as he could.
When you two got closer, you eventually told him about your ex that didn’t exactly… treat you right. Satan listened to every word, his full attention focused on how hurt you sounded and he doesn’t push the topic any further than you’re comfortable with.
He lets you share what you only want to share, and he won’t pry on the details on what your ex may have done. With or without your explanation, to him it’s quite obvious what exactly your ex made you go through. “You don’t have to say anything more… I heard you loud and clear.”
Despite being Wrath, he tries putting in more self-control because he doesn’t want to accidentally scare you off. You even have special permission to use your pact against Satan should his anger go too far. The last thing he wants is to make you feel afraid instead of loved.
But that self-control is not extended if he finds any demon hurting you, not even his brother’s are spared from his wrath (but it’s not like they’d hurt you on purpose anyways). He’ll make a protective spell that makes any demon who wants to cause you harm feel like they’ve held the hottest hellfire the moment they touch you.
Satan was tempted to just go find the bastard himself and make them feel all the pain they made you go through tenfold. He’s not Wrath for no reason. But he doesn’t want to do anything without your discretion, since you trusted him with this broken and vulnerable part of you, then he shouldn’t abuse that trust.
On the day that you both bump into your ex, his gentle facade that he keeps up in front of anyone is gone. Molded into a sour expression full of hate. You could practically feel his wrath burning through your pact.
“Let’s go MC, this pest is not worth our time.” His words are full of venom as he holds your hand firmly to guide you away from your ex, aggressively bumping his shoulder against them with a force that would have knocked them over. All he wants is to get you out of this situation, fast.
When the ex tries to grab you to force you to stay, Satan is already putting you behind him protectively with his hand gripping them by the wrist. He really wants to tear them to ribbons for that but the only reason he doesn’t is because you’re here. He doesn’t want you to see that part of him.
His fangs are practically bared, ready to bite as he growls “Unless you want to go to bed with the same number of fingers that you woke up with today… Don’t. Touch. Them.” The hate and anger in his eyes are burning as he stares down at your ex.
His threats are as clear as his grip on your ex’s wrist starts to get uncomfortably tight, it may leave a bruise as he lets go and that mark hopefully reminds them of his warnings. You watch as your ex scrambles for their life while they still have it.
Satan had to take in shaky breaths, wanting to calm down from the heights of his anger. He wished he had an outlet, he wanted to draw blood so badly but he can’t let his anger take him too far or you’d have to deal with the aftermath. You need to be taken care of right now, so he does that as soon as he’s collected himself.
“When I'm with you, my wrath… It feels like it finally has a purpose. I want to use all of it to protect you. I won’t spare a single soul that hurts you, my angel” Satan promised, placing a kiss on your head as he held you close to his chest.
Satan spends the night letting you lie down on his lap as he reads you some romantic poetry, ones that could properly convey how much he loves and cherishes you through words. He would occasionally run his fingers through your hair as he reads through the pages, and he’ll keep doing this until you fall asleep by his side.
Now that he’s seen what the ex looks like, expect him to ruin their life. He won’t torture them (unless you were open to that suggestion-), but he makes it part of his nightly routine to place a curse on your ex to make their life insufferable. After all, Satan has been looking for a lab rat to test the hexes he wanted to use on Lucifer, and it seems he finally has one at his disposal.
Asmo
Asmo is very touchy and one thing he loves is a lot of intimacy in all forms. That includes physical. He’s used to showing these by hugging his brothers, but it made him confused when he didn’t get the reaction he wanted when he hugged you from behind.
He’s a master at reading social cues so he immediately knows that you’re not okay. Did he hug you too tightly? Are you hurt somewhere? Asmo would whine and press you for answers normally, but he doesn’t this time.
Asmo tried to get some gossip, wondering if something’s been bothering you lately. He loves how mysterious you can be, but this is the first he’s ever felt this frustrated not knowing enough about you! Not even the brothers knew what was wrong!
Asmo basically caves in one night during his skincare routines with you when he finally asks the question. “Love… no matter how much you try to hide it, I can tell something’s wrong.” He says with a hush tone as he applies a soft toner on your skin, looking at you with puppy eyes.
Even when he’s incredibly narcissistic, Asmo can be incredibly perceptive out of the brothers. He knows something’s bothering you, but he was not prepared to hear the story at all.
You told Asmo that your ex has been bothering you lately, trying to get in contact with you constantly no matter how many times you tell them no. You explained that your ex called you several names before in the past and has treated you… awfully. You had to endure so much until you escaped that relationship.
Asmo is probably crying more than you are at this point, ruining the skincare he carefully applied on himself with his tears. “How could anyone just… treat you that way? Do people not realize how lucky they are to have you?” He says between sobs, asking you for permission first before he hugs you.
He’s toned down his tackle hugs so he’d scare you less and take things at your pace. Asmo is happy enough to take it slow if it means you’d feel more comfortable with him.
Though he’s less forgiving if any demon would look at you the wrong way. Asmo wants everyone to see how you’re the most precious gem in his realm and nothing lower than that. If he hears one bad remark from someone at the club or in school, Asmo will definitely make them squirm under his heel for forgiveness.
When you both run into your ex, Asmo eyes them up and down. You know that Asmo doesn’t like looking at things he finds disgusting, and he gives off that exact expression when his eyes linger for even a single second in your ex’s direction. The judgment is evident in Asmo’s eyes, he didn’t even need to speak a single word to make it known.
“I must say darling, your tastes really had a glow up now that I’m looking at that thing. I mean after seeing me, you’d agree, wouldn't you?” He says with his usual playful tone despite being so passive aggressive, subtly trying to lead you away from the ex.
When they try to get closer, Asmo quickly shoots them a glare. His golden eyes have this particular glow in them as he speaks in an enchanting voice “Would you be a lad and go back to where you came from? Trash like you should walk back to the nearest dumpster, don’t you think so?”
The mischievous grin in his face rivals the Anti-Lucifer league on the chances their pranks are successful as Asmo watches your ex obey under the influence of his hypnotic charms and run off to who knows where.
“Ugh, I hate hate HATE looking at unsightly things! Did you see how they look?!” Asmo would whine on the way back home, his words judging every single aspect of your ex from the way their hair is fixed to even the slightest speck of dirt on their nails. He’d complain all the way back home how your ex is the epitome of revolting imperfection compared to himself.
“You have to make it up for me, love. My eyes need to be cleansed! we’re doing a little fashion show in my room so i can stare at your cute little face all day!” There didn’t seem to be any room to say no, but you agreed anyways after all that Asmo has done for you today.
He’ll spend the entire night trying to show off your good sides, which is all of it. If he can spend an entire trip home downgrading and judging your ex to the bone, Asmo will happily spend the last few hours of the day telling you what makes you so perfect in his eyes.
Beel
Beel would be lying if he says he doesn’t feel bothered about your ex. It’s not a matter of you dating someone before, but it’s more of why you’re not telling him anything  about your past.
Beel wanted to know more about you so he decided to ask Asmo if he had any gossip about you and your life, but to his surprise Asmo didn’t know anything. At some point he asked Lucifer if he read anything about it in your profile, but the oldest born just shakes his head and tells him to ask you personally instead.
It’s perfect timing because as soon as he leaves Lucifer’s office, he finds you in the hallway and runs up to finally ask you himself. “I just… wanted to know more about you MC, even if it’s about that. It’s still part of you.” He sounds like a child asking for more allowance money to buy some candy.
You both go into your room and you explain why you never bring this up. Your ex always made you feel insignificant during the last few months of your relationship. You’re always neglected, never the priority, and it took a lot of courage for you to leave. Even when you did, your ex made it seem like you’re the one at fault.
Beel can never understand how anyone could make you feel so small like this… have you always felt this way? Beel is not going to allow that. He wants you to make you his priority. You’re the person that helped fix his family, there’s no way he’s going to let you look down on yourself.
You suddenly can’t feel the floor beneath your feet and in the blink of an eye, Beel lifts you up in his hands without a sweat. He stares at you with a small hum before lifting you even higher. You look at him, confused about what he’s trying to do until he speaks. “You know that I look up to you, for everything you’ve done for us here. I’ll make sure that no one ever looks down on you again, MC.”
When he says he looks up at you and how he quite literally means it with how high up he’s carrying you, it makes you laugh a little at how silly Beel can be sometimes. Seeing you smile again is enough for him to set you down on your feet and cuddle you for the next hour.
Congratulations because you just won your own personal guard dog. No matter where you go, there’s always going to be the orange haired cuddly giant behind you. You had to reassure him that you’re going to be fine on your own and hope things would go back to normal. But you learn that not even bribing him with food can get him off your back.
When you both bump into your ex, Beel is immediately towering over them. His freakish height and his muscles as he looks down at your ex is enough to make anyone feel small under his threatening gaze. “Leave.”
Beel is the only thing that’s in between you and your ex. Your ex tried to make Beel budge but he barely moved an inch. It was the equivalent of trying to push against a brick wall at this point, the effort was futile and it just made Beel angrier.
“I was being nice when I said leave. But I won’t ask a second time.” You can hear the faint sounds of buzzing, knowing how much self-control it’s taking Beel right now to avoid summoning a swarm of flies and locusts. It would be troublesome if Beel lets loose and shows the world why he’s given the title as the Lord of the Flies.
You tell Beel that you want to go home, and he immediately listens to you. With a small nod, he escorts you back while still keeping his eye on your ex in case they do anything funny. It’s all thanks to Beel’s kind heart and his love for you that prevented any sort of bloodshed tonight.
Beel would take a small detour back and buy you some of your favorite sweets to bring home so you both can share it together in your room. Though the treats never made it back and is nothing but an empty container before you can even see the house in view. Regardless you still had a nice night eating the treats with him on the way.
You noticed the few glances Beel has been sending your way and before you can ask what he’s looking at, he places a quick peck on your cheek “You always look the best when you smile”
Your ex better pray that they don’t bump into Beel in the middle of the streets because the moment this lovable demon spots them, there’s going to be some impromptu target practice with your ex and the closest table Beel can grab his hands on.
Belphie
Belphie may be spoiled, but he knows his boundaries when it comes to teasing you about your previous relationships. You told him you’re not ready to talk about it, and he backed off immediately. He may poke fun about a lot of things when it comes to you, but his aim is always to make you laugh and never to upset you.
He eventually finds out the truth when you were sleeping in the living room one day and he finds you. Just as he was going to join you, your phone wouldn’t stop buzzing like crazy. Belphie was irritated, wondering if it was Mammon annoying you again.
He never really meant to snoop on your phone, he simply just wanted to turn it on silent mode so you sleep peacefully. But then he saw the various texts from an unknown number trying to demand your attention and calling you names.
Belphie was so tempted to give this person a piece of his mind, but you woke up and caught him reading the messages. He looks surprised, and that expression immediately turns to guilt as he puts away the phone “MC? I-i didn’t mean to, I swear! But… Can you please tell me what’s going on?”
You can clearly see how worried Belphie looks, so you talk about your previous relationship and how your ex is trying to contact you despite how many times you’ve blocked their number already. You don’t know what they want, but it’s clearly not good. You try to ignore it, but Belphie can see how much it’s bothering you.
“MC… I never knew…” Belphie says looking down. He still looks guilty, but it’s about something else entirely. He regrets those times he lied to you back when he was still locked up in the attic. He hates himself for doing something so horrible, especially now after knowing what you’ve been through.
“I… I don’t deserve you honestly but… I want you to be happy, and I want to be the person who puts a smile on your face. Thank you for giving me that chance…” He says, giving you a small hug while secretly grabbing your phone.
Belphie secretly switches the number so that your ex would be bothering someone else. Maybe with Mammon’s instead so that poor soul would have an earful each time they try to text until they get the message that it’s not you they’re texting anymore. He would’ve done it himself but… he is quite lazy. His older brothers can handle it.
When you both bump into your ex, Belphie looks at them with bored eyes. “Ugh… it’s you” He says, pulling you further away from that person’s reach. “Listen, stop bothering MC… or I’ll make you regret it the next time your dimwit skull tries to send them another text.” His last words were hissed through grit teeth. He may not look so intimidating at first, but he’s not as kind as he may seem.
The moment your ex tries to send you another message, Belphie already had a curse activated. Any time they try to go to bed, they’re never going to meet the sweet slumber they need. Nighttime is always spent restlessly moving around the bed, trying to get some shut eye. They’re already exhausted by daybreak, and the cycle goes on.
For the times they do end up falling asleep after passing out of exhaustion, they’re met with awful nightmares orchestrated by Belphie himself. Terrors and apparitions, making your ex feel endless fear for scaring you the past few days with his messages. Belphie is enjoying himself in this shared dreamscape as he watches your ex writhe helplessly. Beel noticed his twin always smiling in his sleep, unaware of how much the youngest is having fun torturing your ex from hell and back.
Belphie swore to never let your enemies rest as long as he’s around. He’ll see to it that his promise is fulfilled. For now, he’ll pamper you and give you the best dreams so you can feel refreshed and relaxed each day before he goes back to his daily visit in your ex’s dreamscapes to haunt him until this poor soul learned his lesson.

i am still slowly rewatching The Ghost and Molly Mcgee, and like, I know the basic shapes of the arcs, I remember Scratch growing to care for Molly across s1. but the thing about going through each episode with a fine-toothed comb is, i am seeing this shift start to happen in significant ways a lot sooner than I thought it did. Like, in-the-second-episode sooner.
On the one hand, I understand a show needing to establish its character dynamic status quo early on. Episode 1 did a great job of that initial setup, and also preparing the audience to expect a kind of slowburn of Scratch's emotional walls coming down (I'm looking at you, the oblique Scratch-as-Andrea apology at the end of First Day Frights). This kind of vibe continues in Howlin' Harriet, as Scratch invents "safe" reasons for hanging around Molly (e.g. using the camping trip to pad out his scare report). And the show could have run with only this formula for a while: Molly's doing a thing, find an excuse to be on the periphery, grouse about it, but ultimately acquiesce and become invested. In fact, this is pretty much the setup for ep 3's Getting the Band(Shell) Back Together.
But something interesting happens in ep 2's The (Un)Natural. Tammy rips on Molly's lack of pitching skill, and Scratch intervenes (i will refrain from talking here about how protective Scratch is of Molly's feelings already, although it is a catalyst). Crucially, and allow me to continue the softball metaphor here, Scratch approaches clowning on Tammy/the Skylarks in a way that positions Molly and himself as being on the same team.
Tumblr media
He's still denying friendship motivating his actions, but Scratch is unequivocally excited about cheating at playing softball with Molly. He outright says, "I cannot wait until the next game when we do it all over again!" And I find this use of "we" significant, because I think this is the first instance he's used first person plural to designate Molly as being part of his personal sphere/plans. Any other time he's used "we" in reference to Molly, it's been more in service of convincing her to exit an activity/situation he'd rather not bother with (hell, he does this earlier in this same ep, to try to persuade Molly to leave the Lemmings well enough alone so he can take a nap). But the guy is having fun alongside Molly here, rather than despite her or at her expense. He's enjoying having a reason to pal around with her, to say nothing of having a kind of blanket approval to be a little bit of a stinker to the other teams via ghost powers. I talked earlier about "safe" reasons to enjoy Molly's company, and i think being aligned against a common adversary accomplishes that for Scratch in that he could plausibly claim he was simply enjoying haunting them. This allows him a freedom to be more openly enthusiastic about the ongoing events without having to show vulnerability regarding his growing fondness for Molly. And across the subsequent games, he looks like he's super enjoying himself, like
Tumblr media
He's having a blast, he's being silly! He's doing little antics to get Molly's attention so she can share in his good time! Like, the degree to which Scratch reaches out to Molly this episode is kind of mindboggling for how early in the series we are. I did not expect this level of sincere engagement from Scratch until a while later. And when Tammy jabs at Molly yet again, he invites Molly to give input on how to get back at her. There's another usage of first person plural here, too: "Let's just take this jerk down". He's specifically positioning them together, against Tammy, on Molly's behalf.
I think it's also worth mentioning that by this point, Scratch is legitimately invested in the Lemmings' success, like. He does not want to see them lose this game. And when Libby brings home the win, it's a win they share alongside each other.
Tellingly, as the Lemmings are celebrating their championship victory, Molly and Scratch are situated in the stands, apart from the group. A part of their own team. Molly even echoes this sentiment back to Scratch, vis-a-vis her aim to inspire confidence in the Lemmings: "We did it."
Tumblr media
This level of support from Scratch is not consistent yet (he pretty immediately reverts to professing disengagement from Molly and her family in the very next episode), but I was so surprised to see it here this plainly. I guess that's the power of sports!

Hey!! I’m new-ish to the flash comics. I saw one post that you made that showed Cap. Cold respecting the memory of Barry Allen, as opposed to showing disdain (?) for West. What was the origin of this? When did Cold start respecting/caring about Barry Allen? And why doesn’t he care for West as much?
Sorry if this question is all over the place!!
Okay, the first thing you have to know is that, whether you ship them or not, Len is absolutely crazy about Barry. But not in the way that Luthor is about Superman, where he hates him so much he doesn't realise he wants to get pegged by him, or Joker with Batman where he knows he wants to get pegged by him but also wants to get strangled by him. No, with Len it's more like he knows they're narrative foils, and he is really excited about that.
During the run up to Crisis on Infinite Earths, before Barry dies, Len has several attempts at going straight. One of which when he outright tries to be a hero to help out Flash with dealing with criminals and when he and the Rogues bust their asses to save Central City from an attack by the Top.
So, for the origin of him respecting Flash, that's basically been around since the beginning.
However! When it comes to Wally, Len's 'disdain' for him is only because he's not Barry and he just wants his Barry back. Len is like this with other heroes, not just Wally.
Tumblr media
Beyond that, he's actually pretty fond of Wally. He just doesn't really think he's ready to be the Flash yet. This might have something to do with the fact that he's known Wally as Kid Flash since he was a little kid, and it's really hard to see him as anything other than that.
During Wally's run as the Flash, Len (who knows his and Barry's identities by now) spends quite a bit of time going straight and helping him out. When Wally goes missing, he and Lisa are part of the team that joins forces to try to save him, and he convinces Mick to join in too.
Tumblr media
Wally has slept over at Len's house.
This was a sort of rambly way of saying Len doesn't hate Wally, he just missed Barry.

I'm about to do a lot of yapping.
I love definite answers rather than vague implications as much as the next person and wait for the story to come out first before making theories but this chat got me to realize a bunch of things so I need to share my thoughts. Important notes, the credits are for @shyanimeboi and their lovely friend who shares the source, couldn't do this without them. Warning though, there will be a lot of talking about flowers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What a way to start a conversation, very flattering Lucifer, this just makes me think of how the devils and MC are pretty mutual in their attraction toward each other, this image said it the best, in my opinion.
Tumblr media
But this also just makes me think that MC has to have some God's divinity in them and Solomon has something to do with it. My reason is kind of dumb but like, from the start of the game to now, MC could fit every character's ideal type (ex: Satan likes someone with wicked slaps, Mammon likes someone greedy, etc.), and if you stretch it enough (or inhaled a lot of copium like me), it could make sense, because somehow the angels have affection for MC yet they don't with Solomon and how MC can take off their charity belts in the Christmas cards, and now Lucifer said he has an erection just being around them (can't forget to mention, how every angels and angels' ideal type are God himself, and seeing how they act with him, it could explain why).
And the last two parts, Lucifer you're not fooling anyone, my guy. He likes being spoiled by his siblings as much as he is indulgent of them (like how he stops to tell the story of his past for the trio in the middle of the war and how he acts in his selfie comic). Of course he not gonna say it outright that he appreciates it but the fact that he found some flowers he likes says a lot (apparently this is not the first time as well, the nobles have done something like that for him, but this time is probably his favorite).
Also yes, it is in fact good for the body and mind to have plants around you when you have a common cold. "House plants can help you fight colds and sore throats. A study by the University of Agriculture in Norway discovered this fact. The research showed a 30 percent decrease in coughs, colds, sore throats, and other cold-related symptoms in people occupying spaces that had adequate houseplants. The reason? Plants help to increase humidity levels and decrease dust as well as purify the air."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This parts, this parts got me reeling. It seems normal right? I thought so too but when I think deeper into it, I have some thoughts on how he sees beauty and how he perceives beautiful things and associates them with people he loves (the 3 Seraphs) and how he see them as people, especially when it comes to flowers and plants. Flowers often symbolize beauty, growth, and the transient nature of life. A greenhouse, as a controlled environment where plants can thrive, represents a space of care, nurturing, and protection. Lucifer's frequent presence in the greenhouse basically said that it was his favorite place. It is a place where he can be surrounded by beauty in a natural and unforced way, much like how he perceives and interacts with others (he might see a flower and associate it with MC someday but we are not there yet).
Now, why am I so fixated on this? Well to me, how a person treats a flower says a lot about them and how they will treat others, for example, some see a beautiful flower, they will rush over to pick it, and some want to just hold it in their hand, some want to own it and have it in their possession, and some want to control and ruin it. While there are also people who see it and choose to just stay near and appreciate the flower, maybe they will pick it up one day or they don't. Lucifer fits the bill on the last one pretty well, he sees both the best and the worst side of his brothers, and instead of controlling them or snapping at them for how they are, he appreciates and lets them be, without trying to mold them to his own ideals. This is like observing a garden with both blooming flowers and wilted ones. Akin to a gardener who does not force the growth of plants but instead provides the optimal conditions and lets nature take its course.
Gabriel’s representation as a white lily, a symbol of purity, faith, and rebirth, yet always carries with him the “dizzying” scent of blood that is always on his body. The blood-stained petals symbolize the loss of innocence and the tarnishing of what was once pure. Like the white lily, Lucifer loves Gabriel for his inherent purity and unwavering commitment to God but hates the violence that taints him.
Michael’s representation with a black bellflower is surprisingly very accurate to his core, bellflowers themselves mean affection, constancy, and everlasting love, and the most prominent example of this is his love for both God and Lucifer, in the two stars event, even if one went out to buy the milk and the other throw himself to Hell and protect devils whom Michael despises, he still loves them. However, from what I can interpret, Lucifer could mean that instead of embracing the right "dew" (which likely means positive feelings, thoughts, and emotions), Michael chose to embrace the "dew" that only makes him cry and sad. Lucifer sees potential for beauty in Michael but is likely pained by his brother’s self-destructive choices.
How Lucifer sees Raphael as a chrysanthemum is interesting, the significance of the flower means strong bonds and a feeling of joy, and the warm color which resembles the sun means that Raphael should have been a bright and warm person like the flower is but the meaning of the "unrequited love" and how Raphael got misplaced affection, and instead of dealing with it in a non-destructive way, Raphael choose to rampage from the grief and the unjust feelings. It is basically what it could have been and what it becomes.
In some cases, it is a good thing to just simply observe the beauty of it all, but is it right to just only watch from afar as the "beautiful flowers", that lack the proper nurturing and care they want, beings he loves so much destroy everything around them and is also ruining themselves? He could cut off their roots and pick them out to prevent further damage but he didn't (since he is the closest to God, I wouldn't put it past him to pick up some habits and worldview from his Father, and perhaps, God also view the angels like how Lucifer does).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interesting how he can see a bit of himself in MC, but the feeling of superiority is strong in the "pity" part when he talks about the devils. Like yes, he does love his nobles but he also pities them, and idk what to tell you besides that Lucifer kind of treats the devils like stray dogs or cats he found cute and pitiful and adopted them. Not saying that he's not at least, somewhat compassionate, but I think a part of him sees himself as a higher being than the devils like how other angels did.
Tumblr media
I believe the small blue flowers are Forget-me-not, the shape and petals are pretty close to real life.
Tumblr media
With the track record, we got and how Lucifer uses flowers as a stand-in for how he sees his brothers, and this flower, to me at least, is unlike how the other three in how it represents their characters, this flower is like something Lucifer sees to remember his dead brother by. Forget-me-not, outside of tragic romance, is a flower that often connects with death and lost (ex: In Newfoundland, it represents those who fell in World War I; In Armenia, it’s a symbol for the Armenian Genocide Centennial; It’s the symbol for International Missing Children’s Day; The Alzheimer’s Society uses forget-me-nots as a symbol for memory loss and to raise awareness for the disease).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, why am I focusing on the flower of all things instead of the fact that one of his brothers is dead? Well, because flowers not only tell a person's traits and personality, they also tell stories. According to Forget-me-not's legend and lore:
The first one describes a German knight who was strolling with his lady along the banks of the Danube River. The lady saw pretty blue flowers—but they’d been pulled loose by the river’s flow and were about to disappear downstream. She wanted to save the flowers, so her chivalrous knight jumped into the water. He couldn’t fight the strong current, so he tossed the flowers onto the bank, and as he was carried out to sea, he called out, vergiss mein nicht, which is German for “forget me not.”
Another legend says that the German knight didn’t leap into the river after the flowers, but rather bent to pick some for his lady when the weight of his armor caused him to topple into the water—and then he called out “Forget me not” as he was swept away. A separate German tale says the name was chosen when God was naming flowers. This one was the last, and the flower cried out, “Forget me not, O Lord,” to which God pronounced, “That shall be your name!”
The knight could be the dead brother in this situation, and I think that he and Lucifer were close when they were young, and Lucifer probably got interested in something or wanted to save something, his brother tried to help but ended up dead by an accident. Or he could be alive or in a limbo where no one could remember him except Lucifer. And I saw someone make a theory on this, here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apparently, he is the only light theme enemy, and given how he looks? He could be the brother but even I don't have a concrete reasoning as to why besides his appearance and power, and how he hides himself behind other angels in the presentation art and in battle. Though he would likely appear more in the future.

The Tragedy of Rhaenyra Targaryen
Tumblr media
Rhaenyra Targaryen's story is one of tragedy, she is put into a series of impossible situations and finally was killed for the crime of being a woman and wanting her birthright. This fact is something that TG stans are obsessed with trying to minimize or completely erase. Since they're usually exclusively show fans, I'm going to go through show Rhaenyra's life until we hit the end of season 1 (this is a long one so bear with me).
Rhaenyra spent her entire childhood being told she was less than for being a girl and her father killed her mother in pursuit of a son because of this belief. When Viserys finally recognizes her worth, she then has to deal with the misogynistic lords and their lack of respect towards her. Her ideas and opinions are dismissed in the SC, including Otto who fucking suggested making her heir, and they outright send her off like a child when she becomes too unruly for them.
Then after all this, Viserys marries her only friend, thus removing what's left of her support system after Daemon is banished. Alicent also went behind Rhaenyra's back to seduce Viserys. Sure, it was what her father told her, that doesn't mean it wasn't a shitty thing to do. Especially since she let Rhaenyra believe Viserys was going to marry Laena, thus causing her to be massively blindsided by the announcement. Of course Rhaenyra felt she couldn't trust Alicent, of course she felt betrayed, and Alicent never explained why she did it. This obviously drove a massive wedge in their friendship.
Things only get worse for Rhaenyra when Aegon is born. Now the lords who had no respect for her, including the fucking Hand, are clamoring for Rhaenyra to be disinherited. Sure, Viserys keeps her as heir, but does little to reinforce to HER that he isn't considering replacing her. He practically ignores her for the majority of episode 3 until he gets angry with her for not wanting to be his political pawn. Alicent isn't helping matters by never acknowledging the change in dynamic in their relationship, she's the queen consort now, a position she worked to get behind Rhaenyra's back. No things aren't the same, they never will be, Alicent acting like Rhaenyra should just treat her like normal is unrealistic and totally dismisses Rhaenyra's feelings.
Rhaenyra has a completely understandable fear of marriage and childbirth, considering what happened to her mother. Yet Viserys is insisting she marry, and sure, she can choose her own husband, but from her perspective that's basically being allowed to choose your own execution method. And there is also an underlying caveat: Viserys has to approve the match.
In the midst of all this, Daemon finally returns, the one person who completely understands Rhaenyra. He offers her the first scrap of true consideration and then expresses actual interest in her at the brothel. However, he leaves her in the brothel, so, drunk and alone, she stumbles into the arms of her only remaining friend. A man who willingly and eagerly slept with his drunk charge and thought that it entitled him to marrying her. After this, we see that caveat I mentioned come into play when Viserys rejects Daemon's proposal without consulting Rhaenyra, if he truly meant for it to be her choice, he would have let her have the final say.
So now her uncle is once again taken away, her former friend now hates her for not telling her a potentially damaging secret, and her former protector hates her for rejecting to run away with him. And to top it all off, she's now being forced to marry her openly gay cousin to fix the mistake Viserys made when he married Alicent. Then at her wedding, Alicent finishes of what's left of their friendship by declaring war on her and Criston kills Laenor's lover and allies with Alicent.
During the time jump, we know Alicent constantly undermined and abused Rhaenyra. She flouted her power at every turn, factionalized the nobles, taught her sons that Rhaenyra and her sons were beneath them, and shot down any of her opinions in the SC even to the detriment of the kingdom. We know from a deleted scene that Rhaenyra pursued a relationship with Aegon, yet she doesn't have any kind of connection to her siblings later on, meaning that someone must have put a stop to any bonding. After all, why would Aegon and his siblings be willing to usurp Rhaenyra if they had a good relationship? We also know from Laenor's "I thought we were past this" in ep six that Alicent constantly pressed the bastard issue even though Laenor, Corlys, and Viserys acknowledging them as legitimate made them so.
The issue of the Velaryon boys clearly shows how Rhaenyra was thrust into an impossible situation: she needed heirs and Laenor couldn't provide. By choosing Harwin, Rhaenyra was able to have three sons and have a loving relationship (as far as we know). But of course, this small happiness didn't last, as Harwin was sent away and murdered alongside his father by Larys. Before this, Alicent's abuse finally drives Rhaenyra to Dragonstone, by the way, Viserys never did anything to help Rhaenyra against Alicent.
Things finally seem to be looking up for Rhaenyra when she marries Daemon after Laena's funeral. She at last has a steadfast ally in the face of the greens and someone who genuinely loves her. She has two sons by him, her other children are growing up safe and happy alongside her stepdaughters who have integrated well into their new family.
Alas, after six years, she is dragged back into the greens' shit show when they decide to bring up the resolved matter of the Driftmark succession. This marks the beginning of the end for her happiness. Viserys dies and the greens usurp her crown, the news of which sends her into an early labor, killing her daughter. Now Rhaenyra is faced again with an impossible choice: go to war for her throne or bend the knee and risk being killed alongside her children (something the greens were already planning). We know which one she picks, and she's right in this: it's her throne, the greens are usurpers and traitors, end of story. But the greens then murder her son, Lucerys, when he was on a peaceful mission as a messenger.
Rhaenyra has now lost two children to the greens, and in the ensuing war, loses Viserys II (though he was alive unbeknownst to her), Jacaerys, and Joffery. Her stepdaughter, Baela, becomes a captive of the greens, Rhaena is being sheltered in the Vale, and her husband dies killing Aemond. The war takes away everything she loves except her son, Aegon III. She then has to flee KL after six months due to the rioting small folk and betrayal among her council (Corlys is a bitch). When she arrives on Dragonstone, she is seized by her brother's men and burned and eaten alive in front of her son by her usurper brother.
This is the story of a woman tormented throughout her life by the fact that she is a woman. She is undermined and abused as heir, usurped, and killed all for the crime of her gender, plain and simple. TG can try to deny it, but the story is clear, despite Condal and Hess' meddling. And if I see anyone saying that Rhaenyra is bad because she isn't a feminist, that doesn't matter (and that's not a true assessment), her reign sets a precedent for female inheritance in the Seven Kingdoms, that's still important in the long run. She is a tragic character, GRRM has made it clear the usurpation would have happened no matter what Rhaenyra did, she was doomed from the start.

And to this day I‘m still searching for the point to make Helion and Mor have sex. Wth was that about? I don’t see how that was necessary at all. Was it just to show Azriel’s jealousy or something? And the fact that Feyre was thinking of a threesome with Helion and Rhys? Like ew.
Why, for the love of god, is everyone in that series so obsessed with sex that they‘d f*ck anyone that enters the chat? I get that sex is nice, but the fairy dick cannot be THAT good.
And while I agree that Azriel should leave Mor alone and move on, I don’t see how fucking everyone but him would solve the problem here? Mor said that she loves him like family, how come she isn’t comfortable enough to straight up reject Azriel but very comfortable to use other men to make Azriel stay away? I don’t understand the logic behind it? Wth is her mission??
I’m pretty sure Morrigan hooked up with Helion to keep the fact that she likes girls under wraps, but honestly, who cares? No one thought otherwise. It’s like she’s only feeding into the narrative that she sleeps around, even though she doesn’t need to. And before anyone accuses me of slut-shaming, I’m not. Morrigan literally admits to sleeping with people to keep Azriel in his place. She’s the one choosing to reinforce that image, not me. So yeah, the whole situation just feels unnecessary and confusing, especially when she doesn’t seem comfortable just rejecting Azriel outright. It’s like a weird mix of using other men to keep him at a distance while still not addressing the core issue.
I have my own set of issues with Azriel being as dumb as a rock while still being presented as this genius spymaster. Like, we’re supposed to believe this man is the master of shadows, able to unravel the most complex plots and uncover the deepest secrets, yet he can’t figure out that Mor isn’t into him? For five hundred years? He’s apparently this expert in reading people and situations, but when it comes to his personal relationships, he’s completely clueless. It’s not just the Mor situation either—he’s supposed to be this brilliant strategist, but half the time, he comes across as overly broody and impulsive. Like, where is the tactical genius when he’s laughing at Nesta falling down stairs or throwing a tantrum over Elain?
I’m just saying, if this is the standard for a spymaster, the Night Court must not have that many secrets worth protecting.
So yeah, I hate Morrigan. The Night Court is stupid, and everyone in it is also stupid. How is this the “most powerful court” when it’s basically just a bunch of horny, emotionally stunted immortals running around like unsupervised teenagers? They spend more time gossiping, hooking up, and having petty drama than they do ruling anything. Rhys is out here writing his sad little autobiography while Feyre uses their life-or-death missions as inspiration for erotic painting ideas. Cassian is playing wingman to everyone’s bad decisions, Azriel is brooding in the corner wondering why Mor won’t love him while also somehow making Elain uncomfortable, and Amren’s just hoarding trinkets and insulting everyone’s intelligence.
And Morrigan. Miss “I’m so free and feminist” but can’t tell her so-called family she’s into women after five centuries of awkward vibes. No, let’s just keep hooking up with Helion and random dudes so we can keep Azriel in check, because clearly that’s a mature solution. Honestly, the only people with half a brain in that Court are the shopkeepers who charge them triple for overpriced wine and sexy clothes because they know this group is too distracted by their own melodrama to notice they’re getting ripped off.

I have came to disturb your peace sorry if I disturb your peace though I have another interaction and it's about cage by the Sun!
What if Míng Mèng who in my au the underworld guide or collector. She is Macaque. How she was born a little lore she was born from both the mist and Shadow magic macaque was using while doing a project or an experiment accidentally creating her and he decided yeah I might as well be a dad and boys grow up this point. What if she basically met your au? She's pretty much someone who does not show emotion too much but it does not mean she bottles it up think of her having the personality of a cat that's slightly grumpy but actually very much someone who's willing to teach. She looks exactly like him but with different features get the point. And she definitely would not like your Wukong. Because she knows very well in her universe those two despite not getting along are slowly reconnecting as friends plantonically. And she probably would not like him trying to brainwash the Cubs so she got to do what she got to do. Pretty much educate the Cubs. Especially the purple thing they saw which was a jellyfish and she probably teach them about the underwater creatures and then the land creatures and probably tell them the dangers but also how to avoid them do you think your Wukong wouldn't let her leave due to the fact she has too much of a similarity or appearance to macaque except she's has a bit more perspective on what he's trying to do and she's just trying to get away from him and she probably you know tell them things about the celestial and what the celestials probably wouldn't do because Wukong is the damn problem not exactly but still how do you think it would go?
not well, Wukong really doesn't like anyone trying to mess with his family or threatening the narrative he established for the cubs, it's why he's so harsh on Macaque to keep him in line, he's the only one around the cubs who could threaten that narrative.
He wouldn't let her get anywhere near his cubs, since she's such a huge threat to his narrative, and if she did get the chance to talk to them, he'd pull the fact that she's from a different universe, things are different there, of course she doesn't know what the real world is like or what the celestials of this universe are like, he won't outright say she's a liar, but those things aren't true in our universe.
Then he'd either try to kill her or trap her in a room of the tower where she couldn't cause problems if she can't be killed.
Yingyue and Chao-Xing didn't know what a jellyfish was because they were two and Macaque hadn't gotten around to explain sea life to them yet, I'm sure he'd appreciate not having to hard carry his children's education.
Míng Mèng is not having a fun time I believe.
Thanks for asking!

Thank you for your reply! I’m going to try to have low expectations while also being a little optimistic. A few comments of Rolin and other writers give me some hope, but I was disappointed after the lack of fallout after s02e05. I was hoping it would result in some interesting dynamics changes and more character stuff for all invoked (outside of DM as well). The last few episodes felt a bit overstuffed and packed to me, even as it concerned Louis and Armand which was a shame. I’m happy they prioritised Claudia’s story though - even though it broke my heart!
Honestly, if there isn’t anything interesting in regard to DM, or Daniel, Louis and Armand separately I’ll probably stop watching. I’m definitely in the minority on here, which is good, but I just don’t find Lestat interesting. Not for any moralizing reason or anything, I just don’t vibe with him. Happy for his fans though who have been waiting, and who knows maybe I’ll be won over?
I’m hoping that Rolin saying years ago that DM fans shouldn’t worry means that he does understand to some extent that people want to see something personal and screwed-up between them. Cause we haven’t yet, if we are being real. I felt disheartened when they skipped the turning and Rolin describing that mere fact as DM. Cause if nothing else DM is the chemistry/dynamic/interactions between those two characters. So yeah, I’ll have low expectations but try to be carefully optimistic. And yes, I’m happy so many are creating fun fan works! Thanks for hearing me out!
Well, I know I'm more on the negative side, I can't help it, I'm a virgo ;).
But who knows, maybe I'll eat my words.
You are not alone in not being into Lestat, I've seen quite some posts already, but there is no way around him in this franchise, since he is the chronicle's main character basically.
I get not being too exited about watching, I was actually a bit bored by season 1, but I wasn't too impressed with the first book either.
Adding Armand this early and prominently was what kept me watching and the shift in tone in season 3 really works for me personally (I like the show better when it's outright clowning.)
So far the show was quite good with giving the ensemble cast decent storylines and recognition, so even if Lestat is the main focus, Daniel will still be there and Armand has yet to get into unginged gremlin mode.
I think we will get at least crumbs there.
And maybe they will revisit the turning with a surprise.
Daniel's vamp reveal was a classic horror movie shock thingy, that wouldn't have worked if we saw the turning. So that was the reason it wasn't shown.
If they revisit it will depend on the dynamic of seasn 3 tho.
I don't wanna rain on anyone's parade really, I just like to speculate and personally have a bit of love/hate relationship with the show.
I love parts and I dislike parts.
But I'm still exited about how three will turn out.
Let's hope there's something for everybody.
And if there isn't, we will at least have tons of memes.

The answer to the question whether I will start writing now or spend more time drawing more characters is that I’ll draw another fanart for the Rook and Rose series. This time my boy Vargo, and his friend Iascat.
Tumblr media
Vargo getting his long needed rest. He deserves it. And so does Iascat tbh.
I’m a very focused and hard working individual /j
And I am very normal about Vargo and Iascat and their relationship. You can see just how normal I am about them below the cut.
Spoilers ahead, obviously.
So, for those who wanna hear about what I have to say without knowing the context: Vargo, one of the main characters, is AroAllo and in a sexual relationship with Iascat. While their relationship starts of mutually using each other for getting what they want (sex and touch in Iascat’s case, and information for Vargo), they do become more like friends over the course of the books (especially the last one) while still keeping up the sexual side of their relationship.
And damn was it refreshing to see a sexual relationship that isn’t treated as a bad thing, or something that has to change to include romance later, or stop all together. No, it was treated as something completely neutral–just something that is there. At times even positive, dare I say!
And it is so awesome to see a relationship that’s based in sex, that only happened because of sex, represented as something good.
While Iascat’s sexuality is never confirmed, I like to think of him as AroAllo, too, for multiple reasons.
I think his wish to have a romantic relationship, while at the same time doing nothing to get one, is a very aromantic experience. And I assume a lot of this is coming from his aunt who has a very deep desire to have a romantic relationship, while her cursed medallion makes her basically unable to keep one up, while also making her desire for a relationship even stronger.
With how the medallions work, Iascat is probably also influenced it that same way, and his "desire for romance" is actually not really his own, but an extension of his aunt’s (because, well, Iascat is mostly treated as an extension of her by his aunt.)
The second reason is his actions. When his aunt is put under house arrest and he becomes head of his house, so is basically able to do what he want and seek out the romance he apparently wants, the first thing he does when he has time is fuck Vargo, of whom he knows that there’s no chance of romance.
That doesn’t shout alloromantic to me tbh.
And the only times he ever says or thinks anything about wanting a romantic relationship with Vargo, or anyone, is when he’s under the influence of his Tuat medallion.
Story-wise, he lets go of that desire and wish by destroying his medallion, yet keeps the sexual relationship with Vargo.
I like to think that after all the shit in the books goes down and there’s something like peace, Iascat takes the time to think about what he actually wants without being controlled by magic; because his actions show something much different from his words, and he could see that he’s actually a lot like Vargo and likes what they have, and doesn’t actually want a romantic relationship like his aunt always demonstrated.
So, to conclude, he’s AroAllo to me and I won’t take any second opinions on that. It’s fact now. I’m definitely not projecting onto the man. Leave me alone /j
But yeah, I really enjoy that a sexual relationship is portrayed in a positive manner, and that an aromantic character is allowed to exist without constantly having to explain or defend himself. Vargo isn’t ever questioned, the people who know him a bit closer just learn rather quickly that he isn’t up for romance. And I love that.
It’s probably also what makes alloros so unable to understand that he’s aromantic, because he doesn’t have to outright say it constantly, or even ever.
What might have helped with that would be the conversation that Vargo and Iascat have about their relationship being on page. Though that would fuck over the pacing, and seem quite out of place, since it’s in the third book and they kinda have other problems to solve. The conversation is once referred to, and it becomes quite clear (to me, at least, as an aro), that during that conversation Vargo has made it clear to Iascat that romance wasn’t on the table, and Iascat accepted that.
So. While It’d have been cool to read how Vargo directly describes his emotions, and how Iascat reacts to that, it wouldn’t have fit the plot and pacing of the third book. I get that.
I cannot imagine that I only read these books because I wrote a rant in some TikTok comments about the lack of AroAllo rep and someone told me about it. I am forever grateful for that person, but also hate them because this book is occupying my mind so much more than any other book I’ve ever read. Normally books aren’t in my mind like this months after I read them. I cannot read a different book even if I want to.
So. Yay, AroAllo rep.
Thanks for reading my stupid rant, ig?

Devil in the Dark
It's been a good string of episodes—I really liked this one too!!
At first I was hoping it was going to be a whole episode of Kirk Bones and Spock together, but alas. At least we got Bones staring at Spock forgetting to track the conversation for large portions of 11.22 - 14.13.
I love how much buildup we get for the horta. She's so scary, she's so deadly, she's so vicious, she's *drum-roll* a carpet blob!
And then the show says if you want to play storytime with us you must empathize so hard with the carpet blob. I love this show.
Spock was so fucking sad at the prospect of killing the horta, I love him.
Until Jim is in its line of sight of course and suddenly it's all 'kill it kill it now murder it dead' dkfjhg
Meanwhile my sympathies were so extremely with Spock not wanting to kill the horta that I was getting pretty miffed at Kirk for his unilateral 'kill on sight' policy, even though I get it under the circumstances. But then when he's the one to find the horta and is the only one in danger he ignores his own advice and gets attached to the carpet blob within ten seconds. Fine okay I love him too.
Also love Kirk trying to logic Spock into leaving him to retreat into safety and Spock going 'no ❤️'
And that in case it wasn't clear that their discussion of priorities and statistics was in fact about who gets to risk their neck protecting the other, you get clear confirmation that Spock's disconcertment when Kirk tries to tell him to leave was because he didn't want Kirk searching for the horta without his protection, when he protests about them splitting up to explore the two paths. Then when Kirk insists he watches him until he disappears.
Meanwhile Spock hearing the rock fall and Kirk finding the horta while they're apart has got be the most openly scared Spock's been in the series yet, if not the most he's shown any emotion when he's not mind-melding or under some mind-altering influence. By Spock standards that was basically outright panic.
Speaking of mind-melding, giving such a hyper-empathetic ability to the character always accused of lacking empathy was such a good move.
Also I appreciate Kirk acknowledging how intense and vulnerable the meld is for Spock.
Bones going "Fine!!! Guess I'll just improvise rock surgery then!!!" And then he does and he's so proud of himself, as he should be 💜💜💜
I love the horta, I hope she and her many many children are happy forever.

GoTron Was Another Summer Best (another Summer yap session)
Let's start with one thing. I felt generous and tried to watch Rickdependence Spray. I turned it off after 10 seconds. In fact, I paused after I saw that horse breeder thing for longer than I watched the intro Tried watching the Thanksgiving episode which was, just fine. Although nothing Summer caught my eye. I did this to finish up Season 5 but it was not worth it
You know WHAT was worth it, though? And what a few of you guys recommended?
Tumblr media
'GoTron Jerrysis Rickvangelion'
I now see why this was recommended to me, and by the way it means a lot that most of you guys want me to write about Summer :3
It's almost Summer's episode, focused on her dynamic with Rick too and how it can clash with Morty
(FYI the wiki doesn't have a gallery for this episode I literally will rely on Google for this shit)
Tumblr media
Right from the start we see that Summer is basically Rick's right-hand man. I know many people have pointed out (and it's outright said) that Summer is enabling Rick's obsession, which is explained IN the episode and something I'll return to later. Part of this episode is not only her relationship with Rick but with herself. Morty sees this as some sort of sabotage when Rick goes with her opinion and sees Morty as sort of an enemy for not going with what he wanted
Tumblr media
She not only LITERALLY becomes a right-hand to the GoTron itself but oversees these Rick meetings instead of just hanging out with the other Summers. I mentioned the fact that Summer holds family in such a high regard. Whether or not they did this because this was also a Goodfellas parody, any good parody utilizes its characters purposefully, so I think it still works. There's also several lines where Summer talks about keeping the family close, and considering the blog I wrote about Rickmancing the Stone that mentions her being the glue that keeps the family together...yeah. When I say she's consistent and has a clear arc, it's because I managed to break her down and see the same attributes pop up here explicitly
Tumblr media
Rick congratulates Summer for being the one reason he's even doing this GoTron shit and calls her a queen (queef first tho). Considering Season 7 where he says Summer reminds him of Diane, every time he cherishes Summer it's very genuine and because of how special and important she is to him
Tumblr media
I know that the plot was hinging on Morty pointing out Summer being a negative influence but I still understood what she was going for. If my points sound hollow, it's because from now on I don't want to sound like a broken record whenever I mention the words 'Family' and 'Summer'
Tumblr media
Like I said I was not a fan of Naruto and the fact that this show says the phrase 'giant incest space baby' more than once, which no show should ever do. But when Summer talks about how lonely she feels, it felt fitting. Sure, it's a...gross incest baby, but Summer felt basic motherly instincts kick on. She also wanted him to escape from there because she knows about the literal feeling of being cooped up. Like...how often does Summer go out?
Tumblr media
With whatever friends she has she usually just stays inside. I am writing this AS I'M COOPED UP INSIDE AS PER USUAL I'D KILL SOMEONE TO GO OUT. The point being that avoiding this is something she actively does. That's why she was surprised her mom didn't originally want to use the GoTron Ferrets and why she kept enabling Rick. It's not an agenda, she just wants to bond more and go out more
However, I want to know - does this contradict 'Big Trouble in Little Sanchez'? I bring this up because it's an episode where they're supposed to be bonding and Summer is rational enough to know Rick is being harmed, yet everyone hates her for it. Why didn't Summer stop enabling Rick if it meant he would've been obsessed further? In that episode, it quite literally was killing Rick. Here, different universe versions of the Smith family come together as if to emphasize the point further. The actual issues were ones that Summer weren't aware of, but I just bring this up because no, this doesn't contradict any earlier episodes. Plus, Summer is obviously changing
Also, Summer's speech was fucking amazing. She mentions how lonely she feels in her OWN FAMILY because she has no one and went with Naruto, which is also temporary. She'll take any chance to bond with anyone
Tumblr media
To wrap this up - Summer's place in this episode IS the crux of the plot. The family is brought together in more ways than one, with the robots and alternate universes coming together. This also makes sense with Rick having Morty and Beth having Jerry 'naturally', so to speak. If these people have each other, who does Summer have?
Her family
And even if she doesn't have ONE person to always fall back on (as she tends to be around Rick AND Morty), she'll be the one that chooses to keep everyone together. What I said in 'Rickmancing the Stone' and the trilogy I analyzed was true, Summer is the glue that keeps the family together
oh also im gonna be making a blog on the voiceovarians and a theory on Night Summer so keep an eye out for that guys
Thanks for reading!! <3

In regards to the Master Crown, it seems everyone else has shared their piece in regards to your take on it. You know what I think, though? Your take is relentlessly blasé.
You took something with so much potential to be unique and interesting and turned it into your average one-note Uber-powerful force of nature bad guy. It’s gory and violent and edgy for the sake of shock value, and it shows. I genuinely do not understand the praise you’ve been given about it; other parts of your writing are strong but it isn’t one of them.
Oh thank god I thought you were a new anon about to regale me with your ideas for how to fuck or get fucked by a crown/tree demon.
Anyways, your criticism has been noted. Though, since you seem to be referring primarily to the fic… Keep in mind that all of its appearances there have been in the vivid and often fever-fueled nightmares of a lucid dreamer who was personally targeted by it. It’s over-the-top yet comparatively simplified because that’s what tends to happen in recollections of horrible events/things/people. Some parts will be accurate, others will be either given more focus or influence while others will be reduced. Like how people who are terrified of spiders often imagine them being far bigger or more aggressive than they actually are— that’s one of the things fear does.
One of the biggest differences between the one that’s shown up and how I would actually write it as a character in, say, a roleplay, is the fact that in Magolor’s nightmares it almost always immediately made itself and its goals known. Magolor has an idea of its motivations and mannerisms when it’s gone “mask off”, so to speak, because that’s what he was exposed to after getting almost fully assimilated; at that point it didn’t have any perceived motivation to keep that hidden because it believed it had already won. Plus, having had the line between himself and the crown blurred for a time, he may or may not have also self projected onto it a bit. But elaborating on that would be a spoiler…..
In reality, for the Master Crown, acting like that toward anyone it isn’t already assured is under its control is counterintuitive. It wouldn’t openly speak to or threaten someone, nor immediately jump straight to trying to devour their soul the instant it was on their head, nor boast of its power or how many hosts it’s already used and discarded. That leaves too much room for resistance, which is inconvenient and would be inefficient insofar as obtaining a body is concerned; shutting down that resistance usually also means sacrificing some of the host’s utility via injury, if not outright skipping the usage stage altogether and going straight to devouring to prevent its true nature from being revealed to others who might be able to do something about it. It’s whole modus operandi is lulling its targets into a false sense of security as they power trip, then gradually taking over from there until the host isn’t the one making decisions or acting anymore, or if that doesn’t work or would take too long, taking control away from them by force and snuffing out their sense of self more directly. That wouldn’t work if it was openly advertising “HEY I BUFF ALL YOUR STATS JUST IGNORE THAT I’M AN EVIL BODY SNATCHING SOUL EATING CROWN AND THERE WON’T BE ANYTHING LEFT OF YOU AFTERWARDS!” before it even had its metaphorical foot in the door.
Basically: I know what I’m doing with my writing even if it hasn’t been shown yet. Don’t worry I am trying to do the crown justice as an antagonist that’s far more complex than your average cursed object.
